We are building an innovative outdoor air to water heat pump that solves the aesthetic and noise shortcomings of the standard "box shaped" heat pump design. Our solution is a compact design with a low noise of 35 dB at peak and can be integrated with a solar panel on the roof or on a wall to have an improved aesthetic outlook along with improving the system efficiency.
Impact on sustainablity
The annual household natural gas consumption in the Netherlands is estimated to be around 1200 m³. Most consumers do not realize that our everyday household necessities such as boiling water, cooking, indoor heating and other heating activities amounts to an estimated CO2 emission of 2.15 tons/year. There are millions of homes in the Netherlands and EU that use natural gas heating and our work aims to equip our homes with heat pumps integrated with solar PV in order to reduce our carbon footprint.
